How can customers register for this service?

Ktext: Just text “Ktext” to 7715 to activate. Subscribers will receive two messages. The first message will be informing them that their activation code was sent and that a confirmation message will be sent once active. The second message will be the confirmation informing them that their number is now active on the Ktext plan.

Ktext Social (4g Network Only): Subscribers will need to check to make sure their phone is ready for data. Call 922-4483 or visit our stores for information. Once verified text “PLAN KTEXT” to 3282 to activate. Subscribers will receive two messages. The first message will be informing them that their activation code was sent and that a confirmation message will be sent once active. The second message will be the confirmation informing them that their number is now active on the KTEXT Social plan.

Can a customer be on more than one plan?

No. If a customer is on any prepaid plan they should be informed that registering to the KTEXT plan will replace the current local voice and SMS plan.

How do customers on this plan cancel?

Text Cancel to 3282. The plan will be canceled the following day.

What fees are charged for prepaid customers?

Standard prepaid fees apply (Universal Service Fund (USF) and E911).

What is the USF fee?

Universal Service Fund fee is applied on all wireless voice calls and SMS. The rates change each quarter.

The fees are then forwarded to the government fund.

How are the USF fees collected for prepaid accounts?

If the customer is enrolled in the Pay As You Go plan, the fees will get deducted after the customer uses each of the service (voice & SMS); per transaction

If the customer is enrolled in a DAF or Weekly plan (unlimited voice & SMS), the fees will get deducted with the customer’s MRC.

Long distance voice & SMS would get charged after each transaction/service use.

What is the E911 fee?

Every month the prepaid subscriber will get deducted $1.00 for emergency services. The fees get forwarded to the state.
