IT&E now offers a 10% Discount on standard postpaid plans with contract for all customers attending or employed in the Education Sector. Plus, teachers can also get 10% off any Data-Only plans!

How do I get the Educational Discount?
To get the Educational Discount, you must present current proof of enrollment or employment with the Department of Education when you apply for or renew your IT&E postpaid plan. You must also sign a 12 or 24-month contract with your standard postpaid plan to avail of the educational Discount.

Teachers can also get 10% off any Data-Only plan with a 12 or 24-month contract. Teacher Assistants, Teacher Aides, Substitute Teachers, and Principals may also avail of this offer.

Customers must present proof of eligibility by submitting one of the following documents:

 

  • Student verification
    • Student I.D.
    • Student Report Card
    • Student Schedule
    • School Enrollment Papers
    • All student verification documents must be from the current school year (or most recent school year only if transaction occurs between school years).
  • Teacher/Staff/Faculty verification
    • Employer ID
    • Recent pay stub
How many lines can of I avail with the Education Discount?
The Education Discount is allowed for one (1) cellular service line per eligible verification document. The Teacher Discount can be applied to one (1) cellular service line and one (1) Data-Only plan per eligible verification document.
How long will the Educational Discount be applied to my plan?
The Discount will be applied to your plan for the duration of your contract and will revert to the standard price when the contract term is completed. To continue to enjoy the Discount you must revalidate your eligibility and renew your contract.
Do I have to be on a contract to avail of this Discount?
Yes. The Educational Discount is only applicable to select services with a 12 or 24-Month contract.
Can I still get the educational Discount added to my current contract?
Yes. The Educational Discount can be applied anytime even if contract is on-going. IT&E representatives will need to validate qualifying enrollment or employment documents, and once done, the Discount will be applied in the next billing statement, however there will be no rebates for prior months on contract without the Discount.

Can I combine the Educational Discount with my Military/First Responder or Manamko' Discount?

No. Discounts cannot be combined.

What is this program?
The Distance Learning Program is IT&E’s solution to support students, teachers and school staff/faculty in Guam and CNMI by making it possible to use online distance learning platforms on their mobile phones or on mobile data hotspot devices (teacher’s only) as much as they need to, without ever worrying about consuming their data buckets!

What distance learning platforms are covered by this offer?
This offer includes unlimited access to: Blackboard Learn, Blackboard Ultra, and G Suite for Education (Gmail, Drive, Google Classroom, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Sites, Calendar, Duo, Hangouts, Meet and Chat)
What are the requirements?

Customers can avail of this offer in two (2) ways:

This feature is FREE and will automatically be applied to Postpaid Plans that have the Educational Discount applied to their 12 or 24-month contract.

Or customers can avail of this offer as a $5 add-on to postpaid plans without the Educational Discount Applied.

This can be standard Postpaid Plans on contract or Month-to-Month subscriptions, and Postpaid Plans with the Military/First Responder discount applied. Data only plans are not included in this feature.

Is this program available for all students/teachers/staff and all schools?
Yes! Students at any grade level and at any on island school, including private schools, colleges, and universities, plus teachers from any on island school, college or university, can enjoy this additional feature as long as they meet the requirements.
Will I still have access to the Distance Learning program still be free when my contract and Educational Discount expires?
No. When your Educational Discount expires the Distance Learning Whitelist will no longer be free and will revert to be a standard $5 additional charge. However, once you renew your contract and provide proof of eligibility for the Educational Discount, you can enjoy the FREE Distance Learning Whitelist again!
Will the apps still be whitelisted if I am using my data hotspot, or if I access the program via its URL or website?
Yes. The URL or website of the programs under this feature are covered in the whitelisting. So, using your hotspot to access the apps or websites on a laptop or tablet will not consume your data bucket
